Alan specialises in mechatronics, sensing, AI and manufacturing technologies.
Prior to joining Shelston IP, Alan worked in a mechanical R&D role on a portfolio of high-performance navigation devices, from prototyping through to implementation and continuous improvement post-launch. As part of his studies, Alan also spent time designing basic test fixtures at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology (IPK-Berlin).
Alan holds a tertiary degree in mechatronics engineering, with a background in machine learning, image recognition and sensing systems. Alan’s thesis work was an analysis on a proposed navigation and traffic control system for the Space X Hyperloop.
